WATCH: Cocoa Beach Weekend Surf & Weather Report with Nikki McCoy Freeman for July 11-13
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Is this the weekend Cocoa Beach gives us perfect waves and a front-row seat to fighter jets?
From surf breaks to air shows to beachside condos, there’s a lot happening on Florida’s Space Coast — and I’m here to break it all down for you.
I’m Nikki Freeman with McCoy Freeman Compass, and whether you’re chasing the next set or your next home, I’ve got your full surf, weather, and lifestyle report for this action-packed weekend!
Friday – July 11
Friday’s shaping up to be a sweet one! Surf’s in the thigh- to waist-high range — perfect for longboarders and anyone looking for a mellow, fun session. Light winds in the morning should make for some clean conditions, so grab your board early!
Weather: Expect hot and humid conditions with highs in the upper 80s. Keep an eye out for classic Florida afternoon thunderstorms. Morning beach time is your best bet!
Saturday – July 12
Saturday brings more waves and something epic in the sky — it’s the return of the Cocoa Beach Air Show!
Head to Lori Wilson Park where gates open at 9 AM, and the aerial show runs from 12 PM to 3:30 PM.
You’ll see high-energy performances from the USAF F-22 Raptor, C-17 Globemaster, KC-135 Stratotanker, and more.
On the water, we’re looking at 1 to 2 ft waves, with a few larger sets if you’re lucky. Morning is again the call before sea breezes and scattered storms develop later in the day.
Sunday – July 13
Sunday wraps up the weekend with more mellow surf — knee-high and glassy early in the morning. It’s ideal for beginners, cruisy longboarding, or just floating out in the saltwater soaking it all in.
And yes — the Air Show continues Sunday! If Saturday’s crowds were too much, Sunday offers a second chance with a more relaxed vibe.
Temps remain in the upper 80s with another round of potential afternoon rain, so plan your beach time before lunch.
Live Where the Surf Meets the Sky
Surf in the morning, rockets by evening, and jets soaring overhead — if that sounds like your kind of weekend, you’re not alone.
We help people buy and sell homes in Cocoa Beach and Viera every day — from oceanfront condos to river-view retreats — and we’d love to help you too.
