Man arrested in Oshkosh after shooting into business and injuring person

OSHKOSH (WLUK) -- An Oshkosh man was arrested after allegedly shooting into a business, injuring another man.

Around 1:50 a.m. Friday, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of N. Main Street for a man who fired a gun into a business occupied by numerous people.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound and the suspect ran away from the area.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Officers were able to get a description of the suspect and with the assistance of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect was taken into custody around 2:15 a.m. in the city of Oshkosh. The suspect, a 39-year-old man, was ultimately taken to jail for attempted first degree intentional homicide.
