OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - One man was shot in Oshkosh overnight Friday. Police have a suspect in custody.

Police were notified at 1:50 a.m. that a man fired a gun into a business with numerous people inside. When police got to the scene on the 400-block of N. Main St. they found a man with a gunshot wound. Witnesses said the shooter fled on foot.

The victim was taken to a hospital. Police say he’s expected to survive.

Police got a description of the suspect, a 39-year-old Oshkosh man, who was arrested 25 minutes after the shooting with the help of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office. Police are holding him on suspicion of attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
