Army transfer EDGE Elo Modozie locks in visit to Georgia

Georgia’s coaching staff has begun their work on the targets in the transfer portal. Army edge Elo Modizie will visit Georgia over the weekend according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Modozie entered the transfer portal on Wednesday. He had a breakout sophomore season at West Point in 2024.
Modozie collected 34 total tackles and six and a half sacks. The 6-foot-3, 245-pound outside linebacker is originally from St. Augustine (Fla.). He was a star at Bartram Trail before signing with Army as a member of the 2022 recruiting class.
The edge and outside linebacker position has seen some turnover this offseason in Athens. Jalon Walker, Mykel Williams and Chas Chambliss are trying their hands at NFL careers. Damon Wilson was heading into his junior year but elected to transfer to Missouri in the winter portal window.

Georgia returns Gabe Harris, Quintavious Johnson and not a lot else from the 2024 roster. Blue chip freshmen Isaiah Gibson, Darren Ikinnagbon and Chase Linton are all on campus already. Kris Jones has converted to edge this spring after signing in the 2024 class.
It appears the Bulldogs are looking to add there.
The Bulldogs have already been in touch with North Carolina edge Beau Atkinson. Atkinson is also expected to visit Georgia. Georgia is also hosting Alabama A&M defensive lineman Sedrick Smith.
