Kathleen Anne Weingart Trader, age 81, of Hanover, IN, entered this life on Feb. 27, 1944, in Milwaukee, WI. She was the loving daughter of the late Robert Weingart and Geraldine Murray Weingart. She graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, in 1966, with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Kathleen was a registered nurse in the U. S. Navy from 1964 to 1968. She served as an ICU nurse at King’s Daughters’ Hospital for 15 years. She retired in 2009 after 20 years of service as a registered nurse and five of those years were spent at the Madison State Hospital. Kathleen was a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority -Zeta Xi Chapter. Kathleen died on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 3:15 p.m., at her home in Hanover, IN.
Kathleen will be missed by her loving sons, Christopher Trader and his wife Kathy Jo of Hanover, IN, Grant Trader and his wife Patricia of Madison, IN; her loving daughter, Rachel Trader and her husband, Marvin Lee Kilgore of Hanover, IN; her grandchildren, Ashley, Nick, Allison, Kaitlin, Julia, Kyndal, Lily, Cassie, and Meaghan; her great grandchildren, Alexis, Payton, Gavin, Jaxon, Kara, Chloe, Alexander, Ace, and Tatum; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Geraldine Murray Weingart, and her sister, Cheryl Martinez, her brothers, Kevin and Robert Weingart, her granddaughter, Nicole Moreland, and her great granddaughter, Annie McDowell.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 2 p.m., by Pastor Brynen Chitwood at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre-Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, IN. Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road in Madison, IN.
Friends may visit Friday, April 11, 2025, from 12 p.m., until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre-Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, IN.
A final salute with military honors will be provided by the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion.
