Ivy Tech Fort Wayne hosts annual ‘Edible Book Festival’

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Ivy Tech Community College is set to hold its annual ‘Edible Book Festival’ on its Fort Wayne campus this afternoon.

The festival will take place on Monday, March 31, from 12 to 2 p.m. in Ivy Tech Fort Wayne’s Student Life Center Gym.

Organizers say 17 submissions from local businesses, food artists, and Ivy Tech students and staff will be featured at this year’s festival. Some submissions are said to be inspired by the following books:

  • Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton 
  • Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne 
  • Dewey the Library Cat by Vicki Myron and Bret Witter 
  • The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkein 
  • Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss 

Attendees will have the opportunity to vote for winners in the following categories: Best Design, Funniest Interpretation, and Best Tasting.
