Christine McGuiness has finally decided to publicly move on from her split with ex-husband Paddy McGuiness as she is set to appear on Celebs Go Dating. The glamorous star, 37, is rumoured to be one of the new list of celebrities in search of love on the E4 show, which, for the first time in the show's history, will be filmed in the Spanish island of Ibiza.

The mum of three, split with the comedian turned TV presenter in 2022, following an 11 year marriage. A TV insider recently revealed to The Sun: "Show bosses are delighted to have snapped up Christine, they think she’ll be great on-screen and appeal to lots of other women in their thirties dating after getting a divorce. The explained: "Fans will see a new side to Christine too as she opens up about her personal life and films coaching sessions with the show’s dating experts." The added: "Christine has been open on social media about how she found spirituality and healing in Ibiza, so she’s thrilled to be working over there."

Filming of the popular dating show will begin in May this year and it is reportedly set to air later this year. However, a spokesman of the show refused to confirm or deny Christine's involvement on the latest series, as they stated they will not "comment on speculation."

At the time of their separation, Christine and Paddy remained living in their sprawling £6.5 million Cheshire house that they shared with their three children.

While living together under the same roof, Christine told the publication: "Paddy and I are on separate floors. So my bedroom and dressing room is my little haven. We both work in TV yet neither of us watch what each other does."

When the shock announcement of their split was revealed, the pair released a joint statement that read: "We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but after the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify."

It went on to say: "A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children. This was not an easy decision to make but we’re moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children. We’ll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together."

It added: "We hope this now draws a line under anymore unwanted and unnecessary intrusion into our private life. Although we work in the public eye we ask kindly if you could respect our wishes for privacy on this matter. We’ll be making no further comment. Loads of love. Paddy & Christine."

And while Christine appeared to be dealing with her split with the help of close friends and family, another source of support appeared to come from fellow reality TV star, Spencer Matthews. The pair filmed the BBC documentary Pilgrimage: The Road Through North Wales, which viewers watched last year.

At the time, a source told the publication: "You would never have put those two together but they got along instantly," an insider said of the pair as they filmed the BBC show. Poor Christine had been through the mill. She had been with Paddy since she was so young. "

They added: "He was really all she knew in a man, so then to strike up this friendship with Spencer was just lovely. It was noticed by everyone on set that they got on especially well." They continued: "It must have been so refreshing for her to have someone making her laugh, as they really got into the spiritual side of life."

Both Christine and Spencer walked 225km across Wales among other celebrities of different faiths. Her journey appeared to hold a special place in her heart as she told the group: "For me it doesn't feel like the end at all, it feels like the beginning. It's made me want to live more. I don't just want to exist."
