Alison Hammond has candidly shared on live radio why she declined the offer to star in Celebrity Big Brother 2025.

The bubbly This Morning host first made her TV debut back in 2002 on the reality show, which was then broadcasted on Channel 4. She participated in a season that saw presenter, model and DJ Kate Lawler emerge as the winner.

Alison's stint in the Big Brother House lasted a mere 15 days out of the total 64-day run. Shortly after her appearance on the hit show, Alison bagged her role on This Morning, a position she still holds today.

Renowned for her infectious energy, engaging celebrity interviews and comedic charm, Alison has also been hosting Channel 4's The Great British Bake Off since 2023, and took over the reins of ITV's For the Love of Dogs from the late Paul O'Grady last year, reports the Manchester Evening News.

As fans eagerly speculate about the line-up for the upcoming season of Celebrity Big Brother, set to return to ITV on Monday, April 7, Alison's name has been thrown into the mix.

Last year marked ITV's inaugural attempt at their version of the celebrity edition of Big Brother, having taken over the broadcasting rights in 2023, following its cancellation by Channel 5 in 2018.

The series boasted a star-studded cast including Love Island's Ekin-Su, former X-Factor judges Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne, and was ultimately won by ITV personality David Potts.

Despite fans' hopes of seeing Alison make a comeback to the show where she first gained fame, the Birmingham-born presenter quashed these rumours during a chat with Gaby Roslin on her Magic Radio show.

Alison Hammond looked back on her Big Brother days and shared: "I was the second person to be evicted. It's unbelievable when you look back, that chain of events was so correct for me."

Reflecting on how things might have been different had she won, she added: "If I won it, I don't think life would have gone in the same direction. I'm so grateful for Big Brother."

When quizzed by Gaby about returning to the reality show, Alison made it clear: "I've just got asked and I said no. Yeah, they asked me and I said no I wouldn't do it again. I just think I've done it, haven't I?"

Alison is no newbie when it comes to reality TV, having graced shows like I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Strictly Come Dancing, Celebrity Coach Trip and Celebrity Masterchef.

In other news, fans noted Alison's absence from This Morning for a second consecutive week last Friday (March 28), with Josie Gibson stepping in once again.

The reasons for her not being on the show remain unannounced, however, co-host Dermot O'Leary hinted last week: "It's great to have you with us, Josie. You're here for a few weeks."

Rumours are buzzing that Alison might be gearing up to host the beloved BBC game show Hole In The Wall, set for a comeback after sixteen years off-air, possibly accounting for her commitments away from This Morning.

Hole In The Wall, the entertaining Saturday night show, featured celebrities battling to contort their bodies through peculiarly shaped apertures in oncoming walls.
