Natchitoches man arrested for drug, gun charges
NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - Natchitoches Police Department reported that Braylin Demars, 21, of Natchitoches was arrested on Wednesday, March 26, following a traffic stop.
Officers said they conducted the traffic stop at around 2 p.m. on Lake Street near Sewanee Street. While speaking with the driver, officers claimed they smelled marijuana coming from within the car.
Officers said then asked the driver to get out of the car while they searched it. Following a search, officer located the following which was collected as evidence:
- One loaded Glock-22 handgun
- About 275 grams of marijuana
- $1260 in currency
Officers then arrested Demars, who was taken to the LaSalle Corrections/Natchitoches Detention Center.
