A Florida woman is charged with armed robbery on accusations she brandished a gun in a Dairy Queen during an armed robbery — and only managed to steal $1.50.
Allison Fetting was already in jail when she was charged in connection with the armed robbery last Friday, March 21, which police allege took place in February 2024 in Coconut Creek, Fla.
Fetting, 44, was already being held in custody on several other armed robbery and drug possession charges, according to records from the Florida Department of Corrections reviewed by PEOPLE. She was transferred last week to Broward County, inmate records show, while she reportedly awaits a court hearing on Wednesday, March 26, on the charges related to the Dairy Queen incident, WGLP reported.
Fetting was allegedly only able to make off with $1.50 in change from the Dairy Queen restaurant’s tip jar after failing to gain access to the store’s cash register during her exchange with employees, according to WGLP and Local 10 News, which cite police.

In a post on social media, Coconut Creek police allege that Fetting “walked into the Dairy Queen in Winston Park Plaza, showed an employee a gun, and demanded money” before taking off. The Coconut Creek Police Department said in its social media post from last year that no one was hurt during the incident.
Florida state prison records show Fetting previously served a three-year prison sentence in 2003 on charges for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, grand theft, and battery on an officer.
PEOPLE was not able to reach an attorney for her, and it's not clear if she has entered pleas to any of the charges she faces.
