Mt. Juliet Police say they recovered unlawful firearms after separate traffic stops Monday.
Officers spotted a car displaying a wrong license plate on Mt. Juliet Road and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, Darnell Price, 33, of Antioch, was arrested and charged after authorities say drugs and unlawful firearms were found in the vehicle.
Charges include the possession of a Schedule VI drug for resale, drug paraphernalia, three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm as a felon, and three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
He is being held at the Wilson County Jail.
Also on Monday, an MJPD officer stopped a vehicle for driving 90 mph in a 70 mph zone on Interstate 40. The driver was a 16-year-old Lebanon juvenile. Police say he was found in possession of two Glock handguns with extended magazines, one of which was reported stolen in Wayne County in December.
