Three out-of-towners visiting a home in the Town of Lincoln will be spending extra time in a Niagara jail as a result of their arrest Friday. On Friday afternoon, Niagara Regional Police officers were called after two masked suspects were spotted tying to climb a balcony and forcibly enter a residence. Additionally, a suspect vehicle, identified as a white BMW, was observed parked in front of the targeted residence with a woman inside.
Officers conducted a coordinated traffic stop on the BMW effectively preventing its escape. There police found a 9mm Glock handgun, a quantity of illegal drugs, and a quantity of Canadian Currency. As a result, the female suspect was arrested.
Meanwhile, the two suspects attempting to gain entry to the residence fled the area on foot. Police reinforcements were called in, including a K9 unit, Marine unit and the Emergency Task Unit (ETU), to aid in the search for the suspects, who were tracked down and arrested.
Police recovered a sizeable stash of drugs, jewellery and cash, including:
2 kilograms of suspected cocaine
20 suspected fentanyl tablets
Approximately 60 grams of suspected fentanyl
A large quantity of jewellery valued at more that $100,000
In excess of $5000 worth of Canadian currency
Courtney Wannan (29 years) of Toronto, Camarr Brown (24 years) of no fixed abode and Tristan Hudson-Rider (29 years) of Mississauga all face drug trafficking, weapons and break-and-enter charges.
