Three out-of-towners visiting a home in the Town of Lincoln will be spending extra time in a Niagara jail as a result of their arrest Friday.  On Friday afternoon, Niagara Regional Police officers were called after two masked suspects were spotted tying to climb a balcony and forcibly enter a residence. Additionally, a suspect vehicle, identified as a white BMW, was observed parked in front of the targeted residence with a woman inside.

Officers conducted a coordinated traffic stop on the BMW effectively preventing its escape. There police found a 9mm Glock handgun, a quantity of illegal drugs, and a quantity of Canadian Currency. As a result, the female suspect was arrested.

Meanwhile, the two suspects attempting to gain entry to the residence fled the area on foot. Police reinforcements were called in, including a K9 unit, Marine unit and the Emergency Task Unit (ETU), to aid in the search for the suspects, who were tracked down and arrested.

Police recovered a sizeable stash of drugs, jewellery and cash, including:

2 kilograms of suspected cocaine

20 suspected fentanyl tablets

Approximately 60 grams of suspected fentanyl

A large quantity of jewellery valued at more that $100,000

In excess of $5000 worth of Canadian currency

Courtney Wannan (29 years) of Toronto, Camarr Brown (24 years) of no fixed abode and Tristan Hudson-Rider (29 years) of Mississauga all face drug trafficking, weapons and break-and-enter charges.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone in the area at the time of the incident with functional dash-cameras or security cameras, are encouraged to review their footage and contact the lead detective at 905-688-4111, option 3, badge 1009383, with any relevant information.
