A wildfire has burned about 580 acres in the Fort Carson area and Colorado 115 is closed on Monday afternoon as a safety precaution.
The Wild Horse fire started at about 2 p.m. Sunday in the area of Wild Horse Road, said Capt. Michael Smaldino of the Colorado Springs Fire Department. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No structures have been burned and no injuries have been reported. More than 100 firefighters, from 15 agencies, battled the wind-driven blaze on Sunday.
Fire command has been turned over to Fort Carson. The fire is 10% contained.

Colorado 115 was closed Monday afternoon, from about 1 p.m. until 3 p.m., as firefighters used UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters to fight the blaze.
The fire started on the westside of Colorado 115 but jumped the road and is now burning on Fort Carson training grounds. The fire is south of Fort Carson Gate 6 and north of Turkey Creek.
The afternoon road closure was from mile marker 32 to mile marker 38, officials said.
