A suspected policeman serving in Lagos State has landed in trouble in Ekiti State after a woman he allegedly had a sex romp with on Wednesday night was found dead on Thursday morning.
The suspect was said to have visited the woman, who sources described as his lover, in her apartment located on Ayese Street, Bawa Estate, Ado-Ekiti before the tragic incident occurred.
The Ekiti State Police Command confirmed the incident but stated that investigation was ongoing to confirm the suspect’s identity as a policeman.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Sunday Abutu, said, “The woman died inside her room. One of her neighbours reported the case at the Oke Ila Divisional Police Station, Ado Ekiti, and policemen swung into action.
“Our detectives immediately visited the house and saw the lifeless body of the woman. The corpse has been evacuated and taken to the morgue of the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado- Ekiti.”
On the suspect’s identity, the police spokesman said, “We have yet to know whether he is a policeman or not. Let us wait for the outcome of our investigation, which will reveal all that.”
