Much of Southeast Nebraska is in a flash flood watch, with several inches of rain forecast over the next couple of days.
Lincoln is not included in the watch, but according to the National Weather Service, the area could get 1-2 inches of rain through Tuesday.
The Weather Service puts the chance of rain Monday night at 80% for Lincoln. There is a 100% chance of rain Tuesday.
The Weather Service says localized flooding is possible, including ponding on roads and rising creek and river levels.
High winds are predicted, with possible gusts up to 30 mph Monday night and 35 mph Tuesday. However, severe weather is not expected.
The entire week is forecast to be wet and stormy, with rain chances throughout the week.
As of Monday, Lincoln has already received nearly 4 inches of rain this month. There has been at least a trace of rain 17 out of the first 20 days, with measurable rain on 11 of those days.

After a cold day Monday, with highs only in the 50s, it will warm up, with highs in the 60s on Tuesday, rising to the mid- to upper 70s Wednesday through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
