District 15 teacher with Northrop Grumman honor

A Palatine Township Elementary District 15 instructor has been named a Northrop Grumman Foundation teacher fellow. Sharon Lennstrom, a science, technology, engineering math teacher at Plum Grove Junior High School in Rolling Meadows, recently received the honor for the 2017-18 academic season. Lennstrom is one of 27 educators in the country to receive the honor, and the only teacher from Illinois. The Northrop Grumman Foundation and the National Science Teachers Association select a small number of middle school science, technology and engineering teachers as fellows in the Northrop Grumman Foundation Teachers Academy each year. The fellows will participate in a variety of science, technology and engineering-related activities and professional learning opportunities. They are selected from school districts in Northrop Grumman communities across the country,
