Some in Nevada are “Still In” the Paris Climate Accord

Rallies in Reno this week declared that Nevadans are “still in” the Paris Climate Accord, despite President Trump’s decision to pull the U.S. out of the environmental agreement. Emily Woodall with the Nevada Conservation League spoke at the rally about the Silver State’s potential to expand green energy.

Reno is the only city in Nevada so far to sign the “still in” pledge. Governors from 14 states have pledged to reduce carbon emissions enough to meet the accord’s goal of keeping the increase in global temperature under 2 degrees Celsius.
