Leighton Luke flies from Munich to Luxembourg on Luxair Flight LG 9732.
The plane: A Bombardier Q400 turbo-prop that is ideally suited to short hops such as this one.
Class: Economy.
Seat: 7D. A window seat, so there were some nice views along the way on a clear and frosty morning. Price: From $294 one way.
Flight time: 1hr 10min; a nice easy flight.
On time: Yes, for both arrival and departure, leaving Munich at 9am.
How full: Only half, so it didn't feel at all crowded or cramped.
Entertainment: The inflight magazine, Flydoscope, was quite substantial and passed the time nicely. Complimentary newspapers were also on offer.
Food and drink: Tea, coffee, water, soft drinks or fruit juice plus a pre-packaged piece of cake that was actually quite nice.
Service: The multilingual crew were cheerful and efficient. In true European style, they put us all to shame by conversing with passengers in four languages: French, German, English and the local language, Letzeburgesch.
Luggage: Not generous - just 20kg.
Toilets: One at the front. I didn't visit it and I don't think it was used by anyone.
Airport experience: Landing at Luxembourg airport was an easy experience and departing from Munich was straightforward once the correct self-service counters were located. It's not immediately obvious, but Luxair uses the Lufthansa counters.
Would I fly this again? Yes, it was a quick, smooth and on-time flight. It's hard to get better than that.
